Independent Publishers of New England participates in several major cooperative book-marketing events on behalf of members, and a number of smaller ones. Many of these are in-person and/or hybrid events! Please see more on the “Big Three” New England coop events on our Events page. These events and affiliations offer valuable networking, exposure, and collaborative opportunities for independent publishers and authors in the New England area.

New England Independent Booksellers Association (NEIBA): IPNE members showcase their books to over 300 members representing more than 200 bookstores, as well as authors and publishers across New England. This event offers significant exposure within the independent bookselling community.

New England Library Association (NELA): A key event where IPNE members present their books to librarians, who are always on the lookout for regional and niche books. This event fosters strong connections between independent publishers and libraries.

Boston Book Festival (BBF): Held annually in October, this event draws thousands of readers to Copley Square. Space limitations at the venue have limited this year’s BBF exhibit space, but IPNE will be back exhibiting in 2025. It’s a great event for any member to scout out. Boston Book Festival – tell them you’re from IPNE!

Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA): IPNE members can join our national affiliate IBPA at a discounted rate. Contact talktous@ipne.org for the IPNE member discount code. IPNE members can apply for a scholarship to IBPA’s annual spring conference, PubU.

Face The Book TV: Our live-streaming show features interviews with authors and publishers, and discussions on the publishing process. Members enjoy priority booking as panelists, experts, or audience members. Face The Book TV archives & schedule at producer Pierce Press – next up are previews of our Nov. 1-2 IPNE Conference speaker presentations.
